Direct German Qualifier for Geneva Bachata Social World Cup for 2027
You must have an Xplosion Full Pass or an Xplosion Party Pass to participate in the Competition.
The competition entry fee for first 40 people is €25.
Tickets can be purchased via the link provided below.
All participants are required to complete the registration in the Bachata Social World Cup website.
Participants are requested to join the WhatsApp group for further information and important updates.

Competition Rounds
First Elimination
Round 1A:
30 couples perform simultaneously with different partners and judged individually by roaming judges.Round 1B:
30 couples perform simultaneously with different partners and are judged individually by roaming judges.
Semi Finals
- Round 2:
Dancers will be called to the floor according to the assigned competition order and will dance with randomly assigned partners. Partners will change frequently throughout the round, allowing judges to evaluate each dancer’s ability to adapt to different partners.
Dancers will be evaluated individually in their role as Leader or Follower, while dancing with multiple partners.
Finals
- Dancers perform with the judges on the stage, showcasing their skills in front of an expert panel.
- It provides an opportunity for dancers to demonstrate their ability to adapt and excel, dancing alongside experienced judges who evaluate their technique, creativity, and interaction.
Scoring
First Elimination
- Round 1: The judges gives points to each participants with a Yes, May be or No. Persons with a top points will be moving to Semi Finals.
- Depends on the criteria 10 – 15 leader and 10 – 15 followers will be selected for Semi Finals.
Semi Finals
- Round 2: The judges will be given points based on the below Criteria,– Leading & Following.– Technique & Style / Movement Quality
– Connection.
– Musicality. - Depending on the criteria the Highest points 4 – 6 Leader and 4 – 6 followers will be selected for Finals.
Finals
- Round 3: The judges will be dancing with the Finalists Leader Judges with Follower finalists and Follower judges with the Leader Finalists.
- Judges will point based on Leading / Following + Connection + Musicality + Adaptability.
- An additional judge will dance with the finalists, and only the resulting score will be used in the event of a tie between finalists.
- Participants can vote for 3 of the best partners, which later receive additional score.
Judging Criteria
Leading & Following
Judges evaluate each dancer’s clarity, responsiveness, and communication, with a focus on their ability to seamlessly lead or follow.
Connection
Judges evaluate the dancer’s ability to create harmony, comfort, and awareness with their partner, while also considering the visual appeal and artistic expression of their movements
Musicality
Judges evaluate the dancer’s timing, rhythm, and musical interpretation, focusing on how naturally they connect their movements to the music.
Technique & Style / Movement Quality
Judges evaluate the dancer’s body control, fluidity, technique, and individuality, focusing on clean, precise, and well-controlled movements.
Dancers should demonstrate a natural flow, strong body awareness, and their own unique style while maintaining quality and consistency throughout the dance
Advancement
Social World Cup Finals
- Top 1 Leader and 1 Follower will be directly qualified for the Finals in the Geneva Social World Cup 2027.
- The Social World Cup are held in Geneva during the Geneva Festival in October, where finalists from all over the world compete for the championship title.
Result Announcement
First Elimination
- Results will be announced (Around 17:30 – 18:00).
- You can check the results on Facebook Group, Whatsapp group & Instagram Page.
Semi Finals
- Results will be announced during the Finals at Saturday Party (Around 00:00 – 00:15).
- Request all Semi Finalist to be present during the Finals for result announcement.
Finals
- Final results will be announced at Saturday night party (Around 00:30 – 01:00).
